General RULESof the GastroPan 2012
“Show off your skills”contest

 

·         Competitors can enter the contest until March 7, 2012 by filling in and sending the Registration Form available on-line, on www.gastropan.ro and also in the BRUTARUL and GASTROMEDIA magazines.

·         Only contestants from Romania qualify for the first, second and third prizes at each category. Competitors from other countries can win special GastroPan 2012 prizes.

·         Entering and taking part to the competitions is FREE OF CHARGE;

·         Products entering the competition will be made in advance and will be transported to the venue by competitors within the time limit imposed by the organizers; Competitors will attach to each registered product a name tag including a list of ingredients;

·         The judges will assess the performance of competitors by giving scores from 1 to 10;

·         Registered competitors have to be present next to their products while judging and awarding. At the request of judges, contestants will briefly present the properties of their products;

·         All ingredients used in the making of the registered products must be edible, originally handmade, and meet food safety regulations. The use of non-edible materials, the decoration of plastic or other artificial materials is not allowed;

·         All the necessary elements for the presentation of products will be brought by each competitor individually (tablecloths, trays, plates, glasses etc.).

·         All the competing products will remain displayed throughout the exhibition. Once registered, the products may be withdrawn from the contest only after closing the exhibition program (03/25/2012, 17:00);

·         Products ranking places I, II and III at each category, except the ones at section [D], will be awarded with cups, medals, diplomas and any additional awards provided by the organizers and by the suppliers who are supporting the competitions.

·         Section [D] will have demonstrative purpose only, without judging and prizes, with the aim to enable professionals to present their talent to the public and the profession in the field. In this section participants will receive special diplomas and awards.
