Cooks from restaurants and hotels will have the chance to show their skills in front of thousands of specialists.

G1 Category : Cold dishes

The contest is dedicated to qualified chefs representing hotels, restaurants and catering companies all across Europe. Competitors can participate individually or in teams of up to 4 chefs, of which 1 team leader. The same location can compete with an individual competitor and a team.

 

Competing teams will present:

- A FESTIVE PLATE for 8 people based on meat: three mains, three sides, three sauces, a salad and a presentation plate without fish.

- A ROMANIAN TRADITIONAL DISH for 4 people and one portion on a plate. (main dish made of pork, chicken, game, fish, vegetarian, pasta. It can be a reinterpreted Romanian dish.

- RESTAURANT DESSERT (combined) for 2 people. The desserts must be identical, on two different plates and they be done in the kitchen (kitchen dessert).

 

Individual competitors will present:

- A FESTIVE PLATE for 6 people based on meat: three main pieces, three sides, three sauces, a salad and a presentation plate without fish.

- RESTAURANT DESSERT (combined) for 2 people. The desserts must be identical, on two different plates and they must be done in the kitchen (kitchen dessert).

 

Judging criteria: presentation and innovation, composition, correct professional preparation and compliance with the theme and regulation.

The registration deadline is 28 February 2019. The registration fees are 50 EUR/product/individual or 80 EUR/product/team.

Registrations are open for any restaurant or food service provider registered in any country.

G1 Category : Fruit and Vegetable Carving

The contest is dedicated to qualified chefs representing hotels, restaurants and food service companies. Each participating company can compete with up to 3 competitors, with 3 different sculptures made exclusively out of fruits and vegetables (each competitor with one sculpture).

Each competitor will present a piece priorly carved and will also be carving an element during the competition to prove to the jury that the piece presented was carved by the same person.

Judging criteria: visual impact, harmony of shapes and colours, thoroughness, details of work, originality, innovation, compliance with the theme and regulations.

The registration deadline is 28 February 2019. The registration fee is 50 EUR/Contestant.

Registrations are open for any restaurant or food service provider registered in any country.
